Thanks, I did a PLC course in Limerick for two years after school. It was good, I made lots of friends, but the learning was very much self directed. Which I think is a great idea, you learn a lot more when you are learning for yourself and not because you have to. The study was diverse and we worked a lot of film and digital. However the facilities were lacking and that impacted the course.
I’m currently doing my degree in DIT, it’s a fantastic course and has really broadened my horizons with regard practical photography work and theory. I’m really enjoying it and I feel that it has changed the way I take and think about images for the better, and hopefully it will continue to change my perspective on imagery.
As it stands I have my heart set on doing a masters, and maybe a PHD… but I’ll see where the wind takes me.
